7th November 2006 - Fireworks

Over 10,000 people packed Saffron Walden's town common for our annual free firework extravaganza. The crowd were entertained by local "celebrity" Dave, the X-Factor reject who regailed us with an almost flawless rendition of Dixie's Midnight Runners classic, Come on Eileen.

Simon Cowell told Dave he had no future in the entertainment business, we wonder how many rejects got 10,000 people to their first gig!

A pre-show light and sound show by Dance Diva Discos and Disco Inc. carried on into the amazing fireworks display. This was all the more rewarding as 6 of our members had the relevant training that enabled them to set off the fireworks themselves. Well done lads!

Many thanks to our V.I.P. sponsors.
